Bigfoot says Fedor's punches weren't all that strong...would have lost his eye if the fihgt wasn't stopped...doesnt belive weight played big role in fight

Post by gsx-r on Wed Feb 16, 2011 7:03 am

He punched me few times and I could tell they weren’t that strong, but I absorbed it quite well

Because of Fedor’s heart and his attitude as a professional, he’d have returned for sure, but he hadn’t conditions to fight, because if he returned, he’d have lost his eye, because I’d keep trying to hit it all the time.

After the fight, many people talked about this weight gap, but no fighter is obligated to fight if he doesn’t want it. If you accepted it, you know who your opponent is, the weight and the game he plays, and his manager accepted it. Fedor fought Zulu, Brett Rogers, Jong Man Choi and even heavier ones, but my work is different. I don’t believe on this weight gap thing

Yea because if Bigfoot was 230lbs he would have done just as well against Fedor.....

the most cowardly takedown there is, wait for someone to throw a strike then duck under, also known as the "rashad"

hes right about the weight.fedor has beaten bigger guys before and sizer usually doesnt matter in a fight unless the bigger person has more skill then the smaller guy and thats not the case with there fight.how ever he wouldnt of lost his eye.hes lucky the fight ws stopped cuz fedor would of taken him down

No, Silva is not lucky the fight was stopped. He was clearly winning.

I saw a Fedor who was getting clearly beaten in every aspect of the fight. It wasn't Fedor's night, and he could have been seriously injured if htat fight had gone to the 3rd round. There was nothing lucky about that stoppage, Bigfoot put a beating on Fedor.

Big Foot has no right to be talking, he had a 50 pound advantage and needed the ref to stop the fight for him.

Not sure how true it is, but Valetudo.ru was reporting that Fedor said he couldn't continue when asked by the dr.

Fedor stated multiple times he wished to continue and he was up and ready to fight before the news was broke that the fight was over
