Carlos Condit's game plan

Post by quick ramen on Sun Feb 05, 2012 6:24 am

I think he executed a great gameplan. He got into the head Diaz early, and didnt allow Diaz to get into his. He kept very mobile and forced Diaz to try to bring the fight to him wich leg to Diaz being picked apart very tactically.

Diaz couldnt dictate were the battle would take place and lost in the most important engagements. If Condits "retreating" was a problem, then Nick shouldve had the mental compacity, and or the athleticism to stop Condit, and force where the fight was going to go. He couldnt and he failed.

I also think Diaz re-acted very poorly post fight. A true champion shows more respect then that.

Bravo for Condit. Good job mate ! Very Happy

What did Diaz do? Seriously? I didn't see him going balls out. I saw Diaz wanting Condit to stand still so he could hit him

QFT

Dont be mad because sombody dosnt play your game. Fighting is about imposing your will on your opponents, and making them do what you want them to do, not standing still like rockem sockem robots. For "real" fight fans, I dont see why this is hard to understand.

So if Condit pulled the Arona and put his chin out so Diaz could hit it y'all would be ok with it. Diaz spent more time mean mugging and vouging to piss Condit off instead of implementing a gameplan that could win like working on the ground or fighting

What would have you done sir ? Stand there and let Nick try to beat you on the face ? Why? So a bunch of "real fans" can say that you fought "for them".

You go to war, you do what you have to do to win. Your a fighter, you do what you have to do to win.PERIOD. If you ever fought in your life you would understand. Chances are you probolly dont. Chances are you are a waiter at Red Lobster.

Chances are you don't know what your talking about
UFC is a sport but in addition to that it's ENTERTAINMENT
Condit sure as hell didn't look like he was fighting for his life, or doing everything to win.
I'd wager that you have less of an idea about fighting for your life than I do, but whatever assumptions you'd like to make over the anonymity of the internet is cool with me.

I've seen Condit put on better performances, as well as looking to finish a fight. For being the "Natural Born Killer" he displayed an enormous lack of tenacity.
