The American Yakuza suspended Chael Sonnen indefinitely

UFC middleweight Chael Sonnen on Wednesday lost his appeal against an indefinite suspension, leaving the 34-year-old contender's mixed martial arts future up in the air.

In a hearing in Los Angeles, the California athletic commission ruled 4-1 to uphold Sonnen's indefinite suspension, MMAJunkie.com reports. While suspended, Sonnen is ineligible to apply for a fighting license in California.

For the ruling, the commission cited Sonnen's money laundering conviction and a false testimony from last December.

In January, Sonnen avoided jail time with a guilty plea to one charge of money laundering by agreeing to forfeit his real estate license and paying a $10,000 fine.

Last December, Sonnen told the commission that he had cleared the use of testosterone replacement therapy with Nevada executive director Keith Kizer. However, Kizer said the conversation never took place. Last month on The MMA Hour, Sonnen admitted he used the "wrong words" in the testimony, stating it was information relayed to him by his manager, whom Sonnen has since relieved of his duties.

During Wednesday's appeal hearing, Sonnen said he could be retiring if his suspension was not lifted and would be missing out on an opportunity to coach The Ultimate Fighter 14 against Michael Bisping.

The CSAC is by far the most incompitent piece of shit athletic commission that has ever existed. They are nailing Sonnen on technicalities, shit that has nothing to do with them, and they're basically power tripping. They have the authority to suspend Chael, so they do. The conviction has NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM, and Sonnen explained weeks ago on the MMA hour what he meant by what he said at his hearing, but because he didn't use the exact words, the CSAC is ruining his career by suspending him indefinately. Fuck the CSAC. Fuck all of them. I hope them and their faggot families die tomorrow. Them and their ugly fucking wives and their ugly fucking children all die in horrible accidents. I hope it's a slow death as well. Pieces of shit.

Technically he can, but the major athletic commissions often honor each others suspensions. He could go to england and fight (no athletic commission), but would the UFC do that? Besides, with Chael's criminal record, is he even allowed to go overseas to fight?
